Jeffrey G. Tauth, M.D., F.A.C.C., is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and the founder of Hot Springs Heart and Vascular, the only independent cardiology practice in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He has served patients throughout central and western Arkansas for more than 30 years, and in April 2026 he opened the Vascular Center of Hot Springs, the first cardiovascular ambulatory surgical center in the region.
Dr. Tauth holds a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and he maintains his board certification in interventional cardiology through the American Board of Internal Medicine’s Maintenance of Certification program. His clinical focus spans coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, heart rhythm disorders, and heart failure, with a patient population that includes both new evaluations and long-term management of established cardiac conditions.

An Independent Practice, By Design
Most cardiology care in Hot Springs is delivered through hospital systems or corporate ownership structures. Hot Springs Heart and Vascular is not affiliated with either. Dr. Tauth makes clinical decisions, including which devices to use for a given patient, without an administrative layer or a single-vendor contract standing between him and the patient’s anatomy in front of him.
That independence extends to how the practice operates day to day. When a patient calls, a staff member at the Hot Springs clinic answers directly. There is no automated system and no call center. Patients with active symptoms are seen the same day, and diagnostic testing, including echocardiography, stress testing, nuclear cardiac imaging, and vascular studies, is performed in-clinic rather than referred out. Read more about what sets the practice apart.
Dr. Tauth performs more cardiac stent procedures and more peripheral vascular procedures than any other cardiologist in the Hot Springs area, a volume built over three decades of practice in the same community.
“My wife just had a stent placed today. We are both in our 70s, so suffice it to say, we’ve both seen our share of Doctor Offices, and dealt with many people in the medical field. The staff at the CATH lab are head and shoulders above ANY that we have dealt with in the past!! Particularly Nurse Bill!! He made us feel SO incredibly comfortable. I’ve yet to meet a health care professional who was so very personable, and relates so easy with his patients. Dr. Tauth is very lucky to have him on staff. I would recommend Dr. Tauth and his incredible employees to anyone who needs Cardio care!!”
Individual results may vary. Reviews reflect one person’s experience and are not typical of, or a guarantee of, any outcome.
The Vascular Center of Hot Springs
The Vascular Center of Hot Springs is a physician-owned ambulatory surgical center performing cardiac and peripheral arterial stenting, angioplasty, atherectomy, and cardiac device implantation, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and implantable cardiac monitors. Most patients are discharged the same day.
The center operates independent of any hospital system, which means Dr. Tauth is not limited to a single manufacturer’s product line when selecting a device. He can match the equipment to what a patient’s anatomy actually requires, an option that institution-run facilities do not always allow.
Because the center is physician-owned, the cardiologist who diagnoses a patient is also the one performing the procedure and overseeing recovery. The facility itself is intentionally scaled down, with a calmer, more attentive environment for patients and the family members who accompany them.
Serving Central and Western Arkansas
Western Arkansas has been part of Dr. Tauth’s practice for more than 25 years through a satellite clinic in Mena, a community roughly 90 miles northwest of Hot Springs. His practice there has grown into the region’s largest cardiology clinic, a position no other cardiologist in the area has held for a comparable stretch of time.
Three full days each month are set aside for Mena patients, which keeps wait times short for both new and returning visits. Consultations, cardiac and vascular imaging, echocardiography, carotid Doppler studies, ECGs, and wound care are handled at the Mena clinic directly. Anything requiring more advanced workup, such as stress testing, nuclear imaging, cardiac catheterization, or peripheral angiography and stenting, is scheduled promptly at the Hot Springs facility.
Dr. Tauth’s Approach to Patient Care
Three decades in the same community have shaped a consistent standard for Dr. Tauth’s practice: a patient’s cardiologist should be the physician who knows their full history, has the tools on hand to act on it, and is not required to send them elsewhere for a decision that could otherwise wait weeks. That standard is why Hot Springs Heart and Vascular kept its diagnostic testing in-clinic and why Dr. Tauth chose to remain independent of hospital and corporate ownership rather than fold the practice into a larger system.
For patients managing a progressive condition like coronary artery disease or peripheral artery disease, being treated by one physician across evaluation, procedure, and follow-up tends to make the difference between care that feels reactive and care that feels genuinely managed.
